The Slanted Manse is an abandoned mansion where Doorman resides. It makes its first appearance towards the end of Chapter 3, and makes a reappearance near the start of Chapter 5.

Chapter 3[]
Upon realizing he can use Max Puckett to coerce Mr. Spender into answering his questions with the incentive of Max joining the club, Isaac O'Connor decides to take Max to the Doorman in the Slanted Manse in order to reach the club room faster. After encounters with Johnny Jhonny, Ollie Oop, and the Sphinx of Games, Isaac and Max reach the house, where Doorman initially greets his "Master" before recognizing Isaac. After lecturing Isaac about his breaking of their vow to keep his location secret and subconscious rationale behind doing so, Doorman lets him open a portal to the Activity Club's meeting room. After Isaac walks through, Max is seemingly taken over by another spirit whom Doorman recognizes as an enemy; after a short conversation, Max returns to normal and continues through the door.
Chapter 5[]
Two days later, Isaac vents to Doorman in the mansion over Max's quick acceptance into the club to the point where he knows secrets Isaac isn't aware of. Despite Doorman's attempts to calm him, Isaac loses his temper and destroys a chair, causing Doorman to remind him to not resort to violence as a means of releasing anger.
After Isaac leaves for school, Doorman and Nin are contacted via telephone by Doorman's master, who tells them to let Forge in through the door she presumes he has built. Though he attempts to do so, the portal instead leads to the locket in the Activity Clubroom, where Mr. Spender spots Doorman through the lock before he closes it in panic.
Chapter 8[]
After the Mayview General scene, the focus shifts to the Slanted Manse, where Doorman has invited Isaac to take tea with him[1]. Nin urges Doorman to use Isaac as a possible information gatherer for the Angel's allies, but Doorman refuses.
