Hotwire is a spirit under the care of Mina Zarei and a brother of Hijack.[1]
Appearance[]
Hotwire resembles Hijack, with their shared large eyes, wide grin, and soft-pink skin, but differs in that instead of resembling a brain, his body is thin, ending in a splay of tentacles, and lacking arms entirely, having a long, clubbed, nose instead. He is roughly the same size as Hijack.
Personality[]
Hotwire appears to be irritable and scrappy, bickering with Hijack like a typical sibling. While Hijack is a 'nerd', Hotwire is a more boisterous and aggressive character. When Hijack begins talking to Zarei, he gets annoyed. He does care for his brother despite his teasing; he's shown crying over a picture of Hijack when Zarei's efforts to find him prove unsuccessful.

Chapter 5[]
Hotwire is first mentioned in Chapter 5, Page 114 by Patchworm, who tells Zarei that she could ask him for help and that "they all live to make [her] happy"[2]. He debuts in person on Chapter 5, Page 285 during a flashback sequence, where he is caught having a fight with Hijack by Zarei, seemingly due to his "nerdiness"[3].
Chapter 6[]
As Zarei frantically searches for the Ghost Train's lantern, Hotwire is shown mourning over a photograph of Hijack alongside another spirit.

- Hijack - In a flashback, Hotwire is shown to have frequently picked fights with Hijack over his nerdy personality. After Hijack's disappearance on his mission to spy on Richard Spender, Hotwire is briefly seen grieving over a framed picture of him.
